Understanding flute directions is crucial for optimizing space in the layout while ensuring compatibility with H stakes. Choosing the wrong direction will render your signs unusable with H stakes. Here is a brief explanation of each option:

• Flute Not Important: The software will automatically rotate your sign in any direction on the sheet to maximize yield and it wont care wether you can use H-Stakes or not.
• Flute Horizontal: The software will automatically position your sign with the flutes running horizontally, resulting in side-to-side holes, which are incompatible with H-Stakes.
• Flute Vertical: The software will automatically position your sign with the flutes running vertically, resulting in top-to-bottom holes, allowing the use of H-Stakes.

H-stakes are only available when 'Flute Vertical' is selected in the Flute Direction drop-down.
